It has been tested and confirmed that Mercedes-Benz VGS4 (4-speed transmission) Bosch computer can be wiped by Launch X431 X-Prog3 with PC Adapter on bench.
Requirement:
Update X-Prog3 PC Adaptor PC software to V10.51
Preparation:
- Launch X431 X-Prog3 key programmer with PC Adapter
- Mercedes-Benz VGS4 (4-speed transmission)
- One PC
Procedure:
Connect X431 X-Prog3 PC Adapter to X431 X-Prog3 key programmer and PC correctly
Open X-Prog3 PC Adaptor PC software
Locate the corresponding TCU model (e.g. Mercedes C-Class VGS4-0-NAG2) by inputting “vgs4”
Select “BENCH” connection type
Connect X431 PC Adapter and original Benz VGS4 TCU properly according to “Direct connection of diagram”
Read Benz VGS4-0-NAG2 TCU info and EEPROM data separately
Connect X431 X-Prog3 PC Adaptor to new Benz VGS4 TCU correctly
Read new Benz VGS4-0-NAG2 TCU info and EEPROM data on Bench
Choose “Personalization”
Select the original car EEPROM data to write into the new Benz TCU
After cloning, install the new Benz TCU back into the vehicle for programming and coding.
