Simple operation guide:
The operation steps for two Launch X431 tools are the same.
Connect X431 device and a PC via a USB cable
Open the corresponding PC software
Input 8hp gen to quickly find the BMW 8HP GEN3 TCU
Select Bench connection mode
Check the direction connection of the diagram, and follow it to connect X431 ECU Programmer/X-431 X-Prog3 PC Adapter and BMW TCU correctly, PC Adapter needs to connect X-PROG3 Key Programmer. Supply power to the device as well.
After connection, connect to ECU, read and save the original and new BMW TCU EEPROM data, and then write the original TCU data into the new TCU.
Disconnect ECU after cloning.
