How to wipe Mercedes-Benz VGS4 (4-speed transmission) Bosch computer by Launch X431 ECU & TCU Programmer?
You need to update X-431 ECU Programmer PC software to V10.51, then you can perform the wipe function on bench.
Operation guide:
Connect X431 ECU Programmer and PC via USB cable
Run X-431 ECU & TCU Programmer PC software
Input “vgs4” to find the TCU model you desire (e.g. Mercedes C-Class VGS4-0-NAG2)
Select “BENCH” connection type
Follow “Direct connection of diagram” to connect X-431 ECU Programmer and original Benz VGS4 TCU correctly
Read Benz VGS4-0-NAG2 TCU info and EEPROM data separately
Connect X431 ECU & TCU Programmer to a new Benz VGS4 TCU properly
Read new Benz VGS4-0-NAG2 TCU info and EEPROM data on Bench
Select “Personalization” and write the original car EEPROM data into new Benz TCU
Finally, install the new Benz TCU back into the vehicle for programming and coding.
