Launch X431 now supports VAG ID48 96-bit transponder cloning for compatible devices when used with the X431 Key Programmer. An ID48 96-bit token is required for this function. Follow this guide to purchase tokens and perform cloning.

PART I: How to Purchase ID48 96-Bit Tokens

Select a Token Package:
- 10-Point Card (US$23.6) – Best for frequent use
- Point Card (US$3.54) – Single-use option

Fill in shipping & payment information
Confirm & Add to Cart
Verify details and click “Add”
Complete Purchase
Once successful, tokens will be available for cloning
PART II: How to Clone an ID48 96-Bit Transponder
Example: 2010 Volkswagen Golf
Step-by-Step Process
Select [Read Transponder] on the main menu of Launch X431 tablet
The system confirms an ID48 (96-bit) chip
Select [ID48 (96 bit) online calculation]
Put the original car key into the induction coil to identify
After successful identification, start collecting data.
Place the key and bring the X-431 key programmer close to the ignition switch.
After opening the ignition switch, close it. Repeat this step.
Data collection is successful, and the multiple groups of data were collected in a cycle
Collect 8 groups of data above until the equipment enters the next process
Upload data and ensure the network is connected normal
Wait a while until the calculation is complete
Put the original car key into the coil of Launch X431 Key programmer
Then put the supermodel chip or supermodel submachine into the induction coil
Write data successfully
ID48 96 bit chip cloning is completed
