Here is the solution for that when connecting Launch SmartLink C V2.0 Connector to an internet on X431 PAD VII Elite, the device display the error: “The remote diagnostic function is not activated or has expired”.
This happens when you accidentally open the Super Remote Diagnosis menu without an active license.
Quick Solutions
If you do NOT need Super Remote Diagnosis:
1.Disconnect your SmartLink C VCI from the internet/Wi-Fi network.
2.Proceed straight to Local Diagnose on your Launch X431 tablet to run normal diagnostics.
If you DO need the Super Remote Function:
1.Purchase a Remote Diagnosis Annual Activation Card from an authorized dealer.
2.Access the official Launch Super Remote Platform or registration portal.
3.Log in, go to device registration, and enter your SmartLink C‘s Serial Number (S/N) and Activation Code (A/C) found on the back of the hardware alongside the activation code from your purchased card.
