How to Solve Launch CRP919X CRP919E Program Exception Problem?

One customer gave feedback that his Launch CRP919X appeared “Sorry, program exception” when he wanted to update the software.

 

Check the solution below. It applies to Launch CRP919E, CRP919I and CRP359 as well.

Repair Steps:

1. Connect the Device:

2. Access the Command Prompt:

      • On your computer, click on the Start menu.
      • Type cmd in the search bar and press Enter to open the Command Prompt window.

3. Prepare the Configuration Files:

    • Extract the downloaded Tool Configuration folder.
    • Move the extracted folder to the root directory of your D: drive (i.e., D:\Tool configuration).

4. Navigate to the Appropriate Directory:

    • In the Command Prompt, switch to the D: drive by typing D: and pressing Enter.
    • Navigate to the adb directory by typing cd D:\Tool configuration\adb and pressing Enter.

5. Upload the Configuration File to the Device:

Depending on your device model, execute the corresponding command:

  • For CRP919E:

Type adb push D:\Tool configuration\Configuration file\CRP 919E\config.xls /sdcard/ and press Enter.

  • For CRP359:

Type adb push D:\Tool configuration\Configuration file\CRP 359\config.xls /sdcard/ and press Enter.

  • For CRP919I:

Type adb push D:\Tool configuration\Configuration file\CRP 919I\config.xls /sdcard/ and press Enter.

  • For CRP919X:

Type adb push D:\Tool configuration\Configuration file\CRP 919X\config.xls /sdcard/ and press Enter.

6. Complete the Process:

    • Once the file transfer is complete, disconnect your device from the computer.
    • Restart your diagnostic scanner to apply the changes.

By following these steps, your Launch X431 CRP919X or other CRP919 scanners should function normally without the ‘program exception’ error.
