How to clear Benz VGS3- FDCT TCU by Launch X431 ECU & TCU Programmer on Bench?

We can read and save the original EEPROM data, and write new data into the TCU. After the emptying is finished, go to program a code.

Here is the detailed guide:

Connect X431 ECU Programmer and a PC via a USB cable

Open the exclusive PC software

Input vgs3 in the search box to quickly find the TCU type (i.e. Mercedes A-Class2018 2000 M260 VGS3- FDCT)

Enter the operation page

Check “Direct connection of diagram”

There are two methods to connect. One is to read in the car and the other is to remove and read (bench mode)

Use Bench Mode Cable to connect Launch X431 ECU Programmer and TCU properly, remember to connect Line 10 (GND) to the spot on TCU’s chassis

First, connect and read EEPROM data, and save the original data after reading.

This function is blank, you need to write the new data in.

You can contact your customer service to get the new data.

Then click “Write EEPROM Data” and select the new data to write

After writing, click “Disconnect” and you need to do the programming code after the emptying is completed.
