Step 1: Add tool SN in AutoAuth Website
Access the AutoAuth website below.
North American Registration/Login Address: https://webapp.autoauth.com/
Europe Registration/Login Address：https://www.technicalinformation.fiat.com
After login, add tool as follows:
- MANUFACTURER: Launch
- TOOL MODEL: Others
- SERIAL NUMBER: Input the SN of the X431 Elite 2.0
Then click “Add Tool”
Step 2: Unlock FCA SGW by X431 Elite 2.0 FGC Scanner
i.e. Chrysler
Select Diagnose>> Chrysler>> Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge software (i.e. V34.85)>> 16 PIN Connector>> Automatically Search
Check if there are any other OBD communication components installed on the vehicle, remove it if Yes and then perform diagnosis
Confirm the vehicle info (VIN, model year, body style, engine, etc)
Select “Yes” to unlock SGW
If you don’t unlock SGW, the diagnostics software only supports “Version information”, “Read DTC” and “Read Data Stream” functions.
Select North America, European or Other
Here we select “North America”
And input the username and password
Click “OK” and wait for the unlock process to be completed
When the FCA vehicle is successfully unlocked, the Launch X431 Creader Elite 2.0 FGC OBD2 Scanner will display “SGW (Security Gateway) Has Been Unlocked Successfully.”
After unlocking SGW, you can perform “Version information”, “Read Fault Code”, “Clear Fault Code”, “Read Data Stream”, “Actuation Test”, “Read Config”, “Special Function”, and “ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Calibration, etc.
