For 2024 BMW X1, after replacing the EPS (Electric Power Steering), it is necessary to use this special function to perform the start-up of the EPS system by Launch X431 PAD V Elite diagnostic scanner.
Operation guide:
1. Turn on the vehicle ignition switch, connect the diagnostic connector, and choose BMW V51.50 or later version
2. Select [Automatically Search] and confirm the vehicle identification info.
It’s a 2024 BMW U12 Chassis X1 sDrive25Li.
Click [NEXT]
3. Select Special Function-> Chassis-> EPS: Steering Start-Up
4. Read the service info introduction carefully, click [Continue] to begin the Start-up of the EPS
5 . Click [F2] to carry out Start-Up again.
6 . The steering assistance is activated for the duration of the start-up, click [Continue].
7 . The EPS was reset to the default condition, continue standard start-up, click [Continue].
8. The brake must not be actuated during the Start-up, start position of the steering wheel (approximately 30 degdegrees to the right), click [Continue] to start the standard start-up.
9. The standard start-up has now been enabled, the steering assistance is active.
10. Turn the steering wheel according to the previous step prompt. It automatically jumps to the next step when the conditions are met.
11.The determination of the necessary system parameters for the EPS function is completed, click [Continue].
12 . The EPS was successfully put into operation, start to delete EPS fault memory.
13 . Delete EPS fault memory successfully, and click [Continue] to complete the standard Start-up
14. The system network consisting of the following control units has been successfully synchronised and put into operation. No further repair measures required on the steering system, click [Continue]
