Launch X431 PAD V with X-PROG3 Key Programmer can renew Mercedes-Benz ME9.7, MED17.7. X, SIM271KE2.0, and SIM271DE2.0 engine computers on Bench successfully. The used Benz ECU can be reused after resetting. The BOSCH engine control module can also be adapted to the vehicle, both new and used.

Operation guide:
Enter the Mercedes Benz diagnostic software (V49.65 or above)
Select [Anti-theft function]
Check the wiring diagram and follow it to connect X431 PAD V, X431 X-Prog3, and Smart C Connector
Select [ECU Erasing]
For ECU, select [Engine control unit]
For TCU, select [Transmission control unit (TCU)]
Select [Wiring diagram]

Select ME9.7
Check the corresponding wiring diagram to connect X431 X-Prog3 key programmer and Benz ECU properly
Then select [Completely Erase module]
Confirm the Mercedes-Benz vehicle info. The current values of personalized and activated are Yes.
Confirm to back up module data
Input the file name to back up
The module data is backed up successful
Confirm to erase the module
After erasing, the values of Personalized and Activated have been changed to No.
The steps for ECU/TCU are the same. After clearing the ECU or TCU, the used control module can be installed on other cars. Then go on to perform programming, coding, and personalize.
Launch X431 PAD VII with X-Prog3 also can perform the same function as X431 PAD V diagnostic scanner.
